Update!

So!

The DesignFart team has finally succumbed to the insane pressures of... well... being a designer. For now a large number of us find ourselves unable to contribute to this blog, so at the moment we are on *pause*.

A small (Sara, Brittany, and Holly K.) number of us at Burkhart Dental Supply are continuing our challenges on another blog, partly pertaining to Burkhart and partly to silliness... please follow us!

Day 59: Sea Creatures!

Today's theme was to design a sea creature. Again with the crazy week! I am happy to introduce Anna, our new designer, to the team! (Thanks for the creature, Anna!)

Day 58: Bear.

Today's theme was 'a bear'. Sadly, it's been a crazy week for everyone, so we only had one participant... lucky for us, it happened to be an awesome one. Ken took the project literally, and created 'a bear'. I hope you get it. It makes me smile.

Day 57: Ugly is the new pretty.

I've always been a fan of the awkward expressions: "_____ is the new _____." So today, I thought it was time to make our own, design fart version. Today ugly is the new pretty; and the challenge was to photoshop an ugly face on to a pretty person's body. This was a funny one; because our mashups were including Cameron Diaz being silly looking, and a new spin on Picasso. I like it!

Day 56: Not your average can.

Today's challenge was to design a can that you wouldn't see on any store shelf. Ken rose up above us all with his lone entry-- the can-can! Thanks Ken!

Day 55: Something that scares you

In continuing with the 'find out a bit more about you' week, our challenge today was something that freaks you out. This was a funny one; it's hard to draw things that scare you! (especially things like spiders, or anything creepy crawly... I found that drawing a shark was easier than drawing a mascot; specifically the Western Viking *shiver*) so here's to drawing creepy things!!

Day 54: Pet Peeve

Today's challenge was to illustrate a pet peeve. It's been a busy week for everyone-- hopefully once things calm down once again we will have more participants. Until then, here's nail biting from Holly, and toilet paper roll anger from me.

Day 53: Something you enjoy the sound of

Today's challenge was about something you enjoy the sound of. Which was kind of an interesting one; it was Heather enjoyed the sound of trains because of where she grew up (On a house boat by the train tracks), Holly likes the sound of her cat Mylee purring while she sleeps (and swears she's not an old cat lady), and I like the sound of horses chewing on grain because of my silly sister and all the time I spent around horses growing up. So there you go! A little info on a few of us!

Day 52: Sasquatch

Today's challenge was "Sasquatch." Heather chose to amplify his large feet; while I chose to put him in an American Gothic parody. Happy Tuesday!
